Formed in Berlin in 2019, the Leonkoro Quartet is still a young ensemble, but it has rapidly risen to the top of the world rankings – thanks to its talent, dedication and sheer musicality.


When a little-known ensemble not only wins an prestigious international competition but also receives nine special prizes, it sends shockwaves through the music world. This is what happened to the Leonkoro Quartet in London in 2022 – as the youngest ensemble in the competition! Further high-ranking awards followed. In addition, the ensemble found an extraordinary mentor in piano legend Alfred Brendel. The Leonkoro Quartet captivates audiences with its risk-taking playing, enormous flexibility and high level of empathy.
