In der Weihnachtszeit erwartet Köln wieder eine große Anzahl an Besucher:innen von nah und fern, die die vorweihnachtliche Stimmung in der Innenstadt erleben wollen. Rund um die Kölner Philharmonie laden drei große Weihnachtsmärkte zum Bummeln und Verweilen ein.
Sollten Sie mit dem Auto kommen, planen Sie genügend zeitlichen Vorlauf ein. Wir empfehlen die Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.
Arriving by bus and train
As the only concert hall with a rail connection, we are easily accessible by public transport: it is approximately a 5-minute walk to Cologne Central Station, as well as to the »Rathaus« and »Heumarkt« stops.
You can use your ticket as a 2nd class return ticket on the Rhein-Sieg Transport Association (VRS) network. The following VRS rules of use apply: The outward journey may be made no earlier than four hours before the start of the event, and the return journey must be completed by the end of service (3 a.m. the following day). After attending the event, the ticket is no longer transferable to others, nor is the travel ticket.
Arriving by bicycle
There are bicycle racks in front of the Kölner Philharmonie where you can safely park your bicycle. Please note that reservations are not possible and parking spaces are subject to availability.

Parking
Concertgoers can park in the Philharmonie car park at a special rate of €2.50 for up to six hours after entering. Show your ticket to the cashier before or after the concert together with your parking ticket to activate the concert rate. Payment at the ticket office is only possible in cash, but you can also pay by card at the ticket machine.
Follow the signs for Dom/Hauptbahnhof (cathedral/main station). Once you reach the city centre, the Philharmonie car park is signposted.

Important information:
- Since 22 April 2023, the car park is only accessible from Rheinuferstraße (Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer/Am Leystapel). Traffic jams may occur in the Trankgasse tunnel due to increased traffic volume.
- Access via Komödienstraße is closed to motor vehicles.
- If necessary, please use the surrounding car parks in the city centre; there is no concert rate there.
- Traffic can be heavy, especially in the run-up to Christmas, on Sundays if shops are open and during major events – allow plenty of time for your journey.
Emission sticker
The Kölner Philharmonie is located within Cologne's low emission zone. Please ensure that your vehicle has the appropriate sticker. Vehicles belonging to severely disabled persons with the markings ‘aG’, “H” or ‘B’ are exempt.
