eTickets and public transport
All concert tickets at the Kölner Philharmonie include free travel to and from the concert on the Rhein-Sieg public transport (VRS) four hours before and after the concert.
This also applies to eTickets.
For travel on public transport (VRS), please call up a free »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« in advance, which will be personalized to the person traveling. The non-personalized eTicket alone is not recognized by the VRS as a public transport ticket.
How it works:
1. Click link from the order confirmation
After your order you will receive an order confirmation. The order confirmation contains a link that you can use to call up your combined ticket for travel on public transport.
You can access your travel ticket with a small delay (usually within 5 minutes, max. 1 hour after your booking)
2. Register for retrieval
Log-in with the pre-filled data. You do not have the link from the order confirmation or you need your ticket immediately after your order? Then please log in with the order number and e-mail address of your order or the ticket reference (see below).
3. Personalize the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« to the person traveling
After logging in, all the tickets of your order will be displayed. Select the ticket for which you want to call up a »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« and enter the first and last name as well as the date of birth of the person traveling. By saving you confirm your entry. Please note that once the data has been saved, the traveler's data can no longer be changed.
4. Call up and save/print your »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«
You can now call up your public transport ticket as a print@home ticket or save as a mobile-optimized PDF on you smartphone. If required, you can also have the personalized »ÖPNV- Kombiticket« sent by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to print my eTicket?
You don't have to print your eTicket.
Your eTicket includes a wallet ticket and a barcode for accessing the event with your smartphone.
If you would prefer to print your eTicket you can use the print@home ticket that is included in your order confirmation.
Is my eTicket valid for traveling on local public transport?
The eTicket alone is not recognized as a ticket by the VRS. For free travel in the VRS, a »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« must be called up in advance.
The combination ticket is personalized to the traveler when it is called up. An eTicket together with a personalized »ÖPNV Kombiticket« then entitles the holder to travel in the VRS four hours before and after the concert.

In the order confirmation that you receive after placing your order in the Kölner Philharmonie webshop, you will find a link that can be used to retrieve a »ÖPNV-Kombicket« for travel in the VRS.

As legimitation to retrieve a free ticket the order number of the order as well as the e-mail address or the ticket reference of the ticket is required.
Our ticketing partner DERTICKETSERVICE.de GmbH & Co. KG collects the first and last name as well as the date of birth of the traveler on behalf of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe for the personalization of the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«. During an inspection, this data is compared with an official photo ID.
After personalization, you can print out your free »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« as a print@home PDF or save a PDF optimized for mobile use on your smartphone.
If you want to send a »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« to another traveller, you can have both PDF versions sent to an e-mail address via the retrieval mask.
What data do I need to call up the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«?
To retrieve the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«, you will need your order number and either the e-mail address of the order or the ticket reference of your admission ticket.
For the personalization of the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« you need the first and last name as well as the date of birth of the person traveling.
Who can use the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«?
After personalization, the ticket is valid for the person entered when retrieving the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«. The person traveling to the event must use an official photo ID and the event ticket to prove the validity of the »ÖPNV-Kombiticket«.
Note: The personalization of a »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« cannot be changed afterwards.
When should I call up and personalize my »ÖPNV-Kombiticket»?
We recommand you to not personalize your Kombiticket until shortly before the day of the concert, because the ticket is no longer transferable after personalization.
The convenient retrieval of your ÖPNV- Kombiticket via the link in your order confirmation is possible with a time delay of usually 5 minutes, max. 1 hour after your order. An immediate retrieval of the ÖPNV-Kombiticket can be made by entering the order number and the ticket reference of a ticket from your order directly after the delivery of the eTicket.
Can I call up my »ÖPNV-Kombiticket» again?
You can retrieve your »ÖPNV-Kombiticket« again. When retrieving, please follow the instructions to legitimize the retrieval again.
Please note that an already saved personalization can not be changed afterwards.
