Even the country’s most famous cellists – the 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic, acclaimed for their consistently atmospheric concerts – are devoting themselves entirely to the theme of dance: from Antonín Dvořák’s ‘Slavonic Dances’ to the tango of Astor Piazzolla. Two dancers will also be joining them on stage. The title of their programme, ‘Dancing Around the Planet’, lives up to its promise.
