Richard Wagner: Götterdämmerung

The finale of the »Ring«: Kent Nagano, Concerto Köln and the Dresden Festspielorchester complete Wagner's masterpiece in its original sound.
The ring is forged. With »Götterdämmerung«, Kent Nagano, Concerto Köln and the Dresden Festival Orchestra complete their highly acclaimed project: Richard Wagner's mythical four-part opera from a historically informed perspective.
What began in Cologne with the »Wagner Reading« and continued in Dresden as »Wagner Cycles« finally comes to a grand conclusion: under the baton of Kent Nagano, two top ensembles and an exquisite group of singers now explore »Götterdämmerung«, the dark and fiery finale of the »Ring«, in its original sound. In it, the hero Siegfried betrays Brünnhilde and she betrays him, he meets his death, the ill-fated gold sinks into the Rhine, the castle of the gods burns and the future seems possible again.
