The Prague Philharmonia pays homage to Mozart, who was idolised in Prague during his lifetime: the dramatic Don Giovanni Overture and the contemplative Clarinet Concerto, a masterpiece composed in 1791, the year of his death. Beethoven's »Eroica« is widely regarded as a milestone in the transition from the Classical to the Romantic period.
