»I am just as moved by the Scottish Ensemble as I am by my own dancers,« admits choreographer Örjan Andersson. It is precisely this mutual inspiration that lies at the heart of their trusting collaboration. The musicians interpret expressive music by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky – and find themselves moving too. Sound becomes gesture, movement a visible echo of the music.
