From Gambia to Cologne: Ensemble Modern and Senegalese artists in musical dialogue
In 2019, Ensemble Modern took part in the »AfriCourage Festival« in Gambia at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut, where it performed together with musicians from Senegal. This led to the formation of the Liberation Orchestra of Inverted Traditions, in which different musical cultures and performance traditions meet on equal terms.
