»Bundesjazzorchester und Bundesjugendorchester reloaded«

Symphonic music and jazz united: Bundesjugendorchester meets Bundesjazzorchester
The Bundesjugendorchester and the Bundesjazzorchester are talent factories par excellence for highly gifted young musicians. Together, they ignite a musical firework display with compositions by Lenny Bernstein and Duke Ellington: symphonic music and jazz unite in the most beautiful way.
The members of the Bundesjugendorchester are between 14 and 19 years old, while those of the Bundesjazzorchester are slightly older. They are all united by a great dedication to music and impressive professionalism. For Bernstein's captivating Broadway pieces and Duke Ellington's opulent opus »Night Creatures«, these two ensembles combine to form a gigantic big band. The charismatic American-German conductor Jonathan Stockhammer, himself a crossover artist between classical music and jazz, brings the groove to Cologne with these young talents.
