Winning the 2021 Chopin Competition changed everything for Canadian pianist Bruce Liu. Many doors opened for him, which he passed through with ease thanks to his musical talents. In Cologne, he presents Sergej Rachmaninov's last work for piano and orchestra, the Variations on a Theme by the Devil's Violinist Niccolò Paganini. Rachmaninow's late works include the »Symphonic Dances« which the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra under Ryan Bancroft pairs with music by Benjamin Stearn and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
