Babette Mondry & Fritz Hauser & Emanuele Soavi incompany

Jehan Alain, Ravel & more: Organ & percussion unleash the energy of dance
Organists regularly demonstrate how closely organ music and dance are related with their virtuoso feet flying over the pedals. But dance has also inspired composers to create extremely rhythmic organ works. This is the subject of the cross-genre programme for which organist Babette Mondry has joined forces with Emanuele Soavi incompany and percussionist Fritz Hauser.
The highly decorated artists and musicians create new musical lines and forms based on works such as the ‘Trois danses’ by French organist Jehan Alain. In between, percussionist Fritz Hauser and organ ‘ballerina’ Babette Mondry pull out some astonishing rhythmic stops before concluding with the members of Emanuele Soavi incompany, transforming Ravel's ‘Boléro’ into an electrifying sound choreography.
