Wiener Symphoniker
Lukas Sternath | Petr Popelka
Kölner Philharmonie

»This is the sound of Vienna«
»Authentic« is an important keyword for Lukas Sternath when it comes to sound. And in other respects too! Everyone who has had the opportunity to experience the young pianist has been impressed by his fearless ease and brilliance.
When the 24-year-old Viennese returns to Cologne this season with Beethoven's light-hearted First Piano Concerto alongside the Wiener Symphoniker, it sounds like a perfect match. Rarely has there been such authentic sound! Composed in Vienna, premiered in Vienna – and now interpreted by musicians from Vienna who grew up with the sounds of classical music. With Mozart's famous »Jupiter-Sinfonie«, the top orchestra from the world's music capital contributes another musical gem.
