One could listen to her voice endlessly, and what's more, she is extremely knowledgeable about the rarely performed French song repertoire: Véronique Gens, together with award-winning British song pianist James Baillieu, presents the romantic songs of her homeland – a rewarding discovery!

Véronique Gens used to be considered a specialist in the Baroque repertoire. Her voice has since deepened somewhat and captivates with a sensual warmth that is perfectly suited to the wistful, dreamy, intimate French songs of Gabriel Fauré, Ernest Chausson and Reynaldo Hahn. James Baillieu accompanies her on the piano, bringing his experience and expertise as a song accompanist to bear.
