Roman Borisov: Crawford Seeger | Mendelssohn Bartholdy | Rachmaninow | Schumann
Hans Imhoff Konzert
Kölner Philharmonie

Roman Borisov makes his debut in Cologne – a pianist with intuition, structure and enormous expressiveness
Highly musical, intuitive and structurally aware – these are the qualities that impressed the expert jury when Roman Borisov, the youngest participant in a piano competition, won first prize. Now he is making his debut at the Kölner Philharmonie.
Sometimes chance events steer life in a different direction. Roman Borisov owes the discovery of his talent as a pianist to a musically accomplished kindergarten teacher: she ensured that the young Roman was introduced to the legendary piano teacher Mary Lebenzon at the Novosibirsk Conservatory at the age of four. This enabled Borisov to develop his extraordinary abilities, which today make him one of the most exciting pianists of the younger generation.
