Nikola Meeuwsen: Bach | Beethoven | Ravel

Young, award-winning, virtuoso – Nikola Meeuwsen makes his debut in Cologne
The youngest and the best: at the age of 23, Nikola Meeuwsen wins the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in the summer of 2025. He is now an internationally sought-after pianist. He makes his debut at the Cologne Philharmonic Hall with this concert.
“I am very happy about all the opportunities that are now available to me,” says the young Dutchman. Born in The Hague, he grew up in a musical household with big names: “My father collects shellac records. Among them are old recordings by legendary pianists such as Cortot, Michelangeli, Cziffra, and Horowitz.” That makes an impression! Later, Meeuwsen collected autographs from famous pianists. Now he is someone who is asked for autographs himself, even though he admits: “Being famous is secondary; for me, it's all about the music.”
