Münchner Philharmoniker | Lahav Shani

Portrait Lahav Shani
Lahav Shani can look back on a truly picture-perfect career as both pianist and orchestra conductor: first as chief conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, then of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra – and soon of the Münchner Philharmoniker!
With his magnificently sonorous Munich musicians, the young maestro now presents himself as both virtuoso and distinguished conductor, conducting Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's last piano concerto – as luminous as it is wondrously contemplative – from his instrument. Late Romantic luminosity then fills Arnold Schönberg's symphonic poem »Pelleas und Melisande«, in which Maurice Maeterlinck's mysterious love story is sensually and dramatically reflected down to the last detail.
