Julia Bullock | Philzuid | Duncan Ward

Grammy Award winner Julia Bullock joins forces with Duncan Ward and the Philzuid Orchestra
She moves effortlessly between classical, jazz and contemporary music: Julia Bullock displays an impressive vocal range and is in her element in Samuel Barber's expressive soprano piece ‘Knoxville’. The ambitious Philzuid orchestra is conducted by its chief conductor Duncan Ward.
Brilliant high notes and warmth in the lower register make Julia Bullock's voice so unique. The American singer won a Grammy in 2024 for her debut album. Duncan Ward, considered one of the most exciting and versatile conductors of his generation, is able to give the singer all the freedom she desires and skilfully guide the orchestra. And the musicians of the South Netherlands Philharmonic – Philzuid for short – are eager to put their skills at the service of music.
