Markus Stockhausen | Nguyên Lê | EOS Chamber Orchestra| Susanne Blumenthal

To mark his 70th birthday, Markus Stockhausen is celebrating a musical festival featuring a wide range of genres together with long-standing  partners. Joining him will be his wife, the clarinettist Tara Bouman – with whom he regularly performs as the duo MOVING SOUNDS – and the internationally renowned guitar virtuoso Nguyên Lê, who also contributed dazzling solos to the trumpeter’s latest major CD release, *Celebration*, and has performed in numerous concerts with the Markus Stockhausen Group.

In the first part of the concert, Tara Bouman and Markus Stockhausen will form a ‘symbiosis’ with the EOS Chamber Orchestra under Susanne Blumenthal. The second part with Nguyên Lê and the group is set to deliver musical surprises. Markus Stockhausen’s musical language consistently demonstrates great openness, stylistic diversity, beauty and power, and also possesses a spiritual dimension. In his concerts, Stockhausen also consistently champions peace.
