Not only since his record-breaking musical »Wicked« has Stephen Schwartz been considered one of the great artists of his generation — since the 1970s, he has shaped Broadway and Hollywood with musicals such as »Pippin« and »Godspell«, as well as with lyrics and melodies for films including »The Hunchback of Notre-Dame«, »Pocahontas«, and »The Prince of Egypt«.
