Bomsori | Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen | Paavo Järvi

Stravinsky and Beethoven: Virtuosity and revolt in the concert hall
‘Sound of Spring’ – that is what the name Bomsori means. The sound of her violin playing is also filled with poetry. With elegance, precision and enchanting strength, this expressive artist has performed her way to the top of the world's violin virtuosos.
Poetry and power are called for in Igor Stravinsky's violin concerto, which mischievously bows to Baroque patterns and will be interpreted this evening by the sensitive and powerful Bomsori Kim with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under Paavo Järvi. Afterwards, the alert Bremen musicians and their conductor (always precise and sensitive) devote themselves to Ludwig van Beethoven's Fourth Symphony. Schumann called it the ‘Greek slender one’. But this slenderness conceals power! Its bright utopia contains the restless spirit of revolt.
