Bamberger Symphoniker

Jakub Hrůša is not only one of the best conductors of our time. The charismatic Czech is also known for opening up new perspectives on supposedly familiar works in his cleverly conceived concert programmes. 

In his concert, we can now look forward to a prime example of this special art: together with the Bamberger Symphoniker, Hrůša will perform Beethoven's »Pastorale«  and Richard Strauss's »Alpensinfonie« – two spectacular orchestral nature spectacles that sonorously transcended the musical boundaries of their time. In his monumentally orchestrated »Alpensinfonie«, Strauss not only proves his status as a composer, but also his ingenious skills as an orchestrator, who lets the huge orchestral apparatus shimmer and shine in all colours.
