The Kölner Philharmonie's podcast features a singer who listens intently and loves to take her time when communicating, even beyond the confines of musical time. These qualities, it seems, are part of Lucia Cadotsch’s recipe for success. She gained international recognition ten years ago following the release of her album »Speak Low«.
The Swiss singer began taking piano and singing lessons at the age of four, before specialising in jazz singing during her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2019, she won the ECHO Jazz award for Singer of the Year. Find out more about her development since then, her vocal role models and the vast universe of her collaborative work with AKI – pianist Jozef Dumoulin, bassist Phil Donkin and drummer James Maddren – in an interview with Katie Knees.
