FEL!X. Dem Original auf der Spur.

FEL!X – The Kölner Philharmonie opened its season from 2019 to 2025 with the »Original Sound« Festival. In the concert hall and at venues in the vicinity of the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, internationally renowned artists used original instruments and drew on knowledge of the performance practices current at the time of composition to bring the sounds of the past into the present, and to ensure their relevance for the future by combining them with contemporary compositions and immersive sound designs.

Part of the FEL!X Festival was a FEL!X urban day, on which up-and-coming ensembles from the ‘Original Sound’ scene thrilled audiences in Cologne city centre – including open-air performances – with free admission.

With the new »Original.Klang« flexible subscription, you can discover the diversity of historical performance practice throughout the season.
