Wiener Symphoniker

When Every Note Matters
»His music is simply amazing«, says Japanese pianist Mao Fujita about Mozart as he continues to take the interpretation of Mozart’s works to a new level with his unconditional love of precision and detail combined with a deep poetic sensitivity.
Mao himself doesn’t think he is particularly talented. He says he is just someone who practices and studies every day. This is obviously a massive understatement from a young pianist who has won many prizes and regularly receives rapturous applause from his audiences. At the Kölner Philharmonie he will perform the magnificent Piano Concerto in C Major and conclusively demonstrate the depth of his understanding of Mozart’s mastery. He is joined on stage by no other than the distinguished Wiener Symphoniker. Founded in 1900, this long-established orchestra will treat us to some pure musical indulgence after the interval with Mahler’s passionate Fifth Symphony.
