WDR Happy Hour – Mozart

Mozart's »Haffner-Serenade« is simply magnificent. It conjures up a special atmosphere full of happiness and joy in the concert hall. As a wedding gift for the daughter of a Salzburg merchant family, the then 20-year-old composer wrote lively festive music and probably celebrated with them. But his serenade also thrives on subtle elegance, which José Maria Blumenschein, concertmaster of the WDR Symphony Orchestra, brilliantly showcases on his violin. Reinhard Goebel, a proven specialist in the music of Mozart's time, will conduct the programm.
