Symphonic youth wind orchestra: pulse and sound

Symphonisches Jugendblasorchester der Rheinischen Musikschule Köln | Michael Rosinus | Percussion-Ensemble der Rheinischen Musikschule: Ford | Reed | Stert
Exciting, impressive, rousing - concert literature for symphonic wind orchestra
It begins lyrically, rapidly and spiritedly: the »Armenian Dances«, based on old folk tunes, are carried over long passages by the momentum of the exuberant 5/8 time signature. The marimba, solo instrument in the spectacular »Stubernic Fantasy«, precisely played by three award-winning percussionists from the Rheinische Musikschule, stands for the dynamics and variety of percussion instruments. The captivating »Bachseits« is both delicate and opulent - from spherical, introverted moments to an overwhelming rush of sound. The fine wheelwork of interlocking rhythms forms a concentrated, swinging pulse.
