»Every single year ...« Patrice's guest appearance at the Philharmonic with his »Rocksteady Christmas« programme during the festive season seems to be becoming a popular ritual. The likeable Rhinelander once again presents Christmas classics in a relaxed Caribbean style.

Yes, we can, Boney M. once showed us how it's done: »Mary's Boy Child« (aka »Denn es ist Weihnachtszeit«) also worked in calypso style, so it wasn't a big leap to let Christmas carols ring out in a gentle rocksteady beat. And lo and behold – it works! Who would have thought that evergreens like »Silent Night« or »The Little Drummer Boy« could sound so languidly relaxed? This sound is the perfect packaging for old and new Christmas songs. Patrice came up with the idea of reworking supposedly well-known songs while on holiday in Jamaica – where else?
