Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France

Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité
In 1887, Johannes Brahms wrote his Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra as a peace offering to his friend Joseph Joachim in an attempt at reconciliation. At this 2026 performance of his concerto, there will be no signs of such discord.
The brothers Renaud and Gautier Capuçon completely trust each other and show no evidence of sibling rivalry or competitive aggression. Both began their musical careers playing chamber music together until their paths began to diverge as soloists. Meanwhile, each brother has achieved worldwide recognition on his respective instrument and they are now working on musical projects together again. Gautier sums up the relationship when he says, »it is such a gift to be able to perform with someone who has the same roots and experiences as you«. For sure the audience will agree when they hear the brothers play.
