Gloria – Marie Jacquot & Augustin Hadelich

To mark the end of the season, principal conductor Marie Jacquot unleashes a glittering celebration. The focus is on French modernism with Ravel's colourful second suite from the ballet »Daphnis et Chloé0½ and Poulenc's stirring hymn of praise »Gloria«. The programme is complemented by two works by Sergei Prokofiev, who lived and was celebrated in Paris in the 1920s: his »Overture on Hebrew Themes« and his folkloristic Second Violin Concerto, which will be performed by the exceptional violinist Augustin Hadelich.
