Every city has its very own soundscape. Sounds and beats shape the daily feeling of the city and create the soundscape of our lives. How do the rhythms of our time sound in our city? What does Cologne sound like?
Over a period of five weeks, 120 people of different ages interested in rhythm will meet in Cologne. Together in small groups, they will get to know their chosen percussion instrument better. Accompanied by percussion instructors from various musical cultures, they create pieces of music for the concert program. The soundscapes open up thought-provoking games about the present and the future, creating connecting moments with and for each other in the rhythm of our time.
Many thanks to the Offenes Jazz Haus Schule, the Rheinische Musikschule, the Tambour- und Hornisten-Club Köln-Kalk-Humboldt von 1924 e. V., the Humboldt-Gymnasium and the Genoveva-Gymnasium.
