Cecilia Bartoli & Lang Lang

Kölner Philharmonie

Musical summit: two global stars, one stage

A summit meeting of two global stars: when Cecilia Bartoli – renowned for her beguiling timbre, fabulous technique and artistic dedication – performs with the subtle piano poet Lang Lang, the result can only be magical.

When the celebrated mezzo-soprano invited the star pianist to her concert marathon in honour of the legendary singer Maria Malibran, artistic sparks immediately flew. »She encouraged me«, Lang Lang enthuses about Cecilia Bartoli, »to use my sixth sense during my performances to find the gentlest dynamics and the finest nuances of colour. I hope that our concert will inspire people.« Now also in Cologne, the approachable diva and the gentle keyboard lion.
