Benjamin Grosvenor

Focused and free of pretension: Benjamin Grosvenor and the art of the fantastic.
Records, eccentricity, spectacle? Fortunately, Benjamin Grosvenor is not interested in any of that. When he sits down at the piano, he focuses on other aspects: colours, emotions, structure – precisely the things that characterise great piano playing.
In 2011, he became the youngest pianist in history to open the legendary London Proms. Since then, Benjamin Grosvenor has taken the piano world by storm from his British homeland. But he has never been one for airs and graces, even today. He smiles mildly at the term ‘child prodigy’. Grosvenor prefers to let the music speak for itself. His carefully selected repertoire testifies to his great stylistic breadth. In his piano recital, he explores the theme of the fantastic with Schumann, Scriabin and Ravel.
