Community project with the Youth Brass Band NRW 2026

Join us for the 2026 Philharmonie Open House!
Do you play a brass instrument and want to perform on stage at the Cologne Philharmonie Hall alongside other musicians? Then join the Youth Brass Band (YBB) NRW’s community project!
As part of the Open Philharmonie on 3 October 2026, the YBB NRW, conducted by Martin Schädlich, will present a promising concert programme on the theme of »Flow« — and is looking for enthusiastic amateur brass players aged 14 and over from Cologne and the surrounding area who would like to perform two pieces on stage alongside the YBB NRW. The sheet music will be provided in advance once registration has been confirmed, so that everyone can prepare individually. There will be two joint rehearsals before the performance.
We welcome musicians who enjoy making music together and already have some playing experience. Whether you play trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium, or tuba: We look forward to many enthusiastic fellow musicians and a special concert experience!
