From the 7th grade
For the "Rising Stars" programme, the most important concert halls in Europe nominate the most interesting up-and-coming artists every year for a concert cycle with which the stars of tomorrow then go on tour across Europe. They demonstrate their skills in challenging programmes - whether in the standard repertoire or in brand new compositions.
The "Rising Stars in the Classroom" programme allows school classes to experience the Rising Stars up close in the classroom after attending the artist's concert the day before with their class and interested parents (or parents' parents) at the Kölner Philharmonie. Here they have the opportunity to talk to the Rising Star, experience the instrument and selected pieces of music up close and reflect on the previous concert visit to the Philharmonie.
