Rising stars in the classroom

Every year, Europe’s leading concert halls nominate the most exciting emerging artists for a concert series that takes the stars of tomorrow on tour across Europe. Through challenging programmes, the ‘Rising Stars’ showcase their talent – whether in the classical repertoire or in brand-new compositions.

As part of the ‘Rising Stars in the Classroom’ programme, participating pupils attend the ‘Rising Stars’ concert together. Parents and other teaching staff are also invited to join them at the concert at a reduced rate. The following day, a visit by the ‘Rising Stars’ to the classroom offers a unique opportunity to get to know the young professional musicians: the format encourages interaction with the ‘Rising Stars’, an opportunity to explore their instruments and, of course, deeper insights into the pieces they have performed.

Cost: €5 per pupil for the concert ticket (attendance at the concert is optional); €10 per adult (parents/teachers). For every 10 pupils, teachers accompanying the group and fulfilling their duty of supervision receive one free ticket.

Concert duration: approx. 75 minutes (no interval)

Duration of the school visit: approx. 45 minutes (1 school lesson)

Please note: You are also welcome to register two classes to be visited together by Rising Star. A suitably large room will be required for this. Participation is only possible once registration has been confirmed. Detailed information (including the number of concert tickets required for pupils, accompanying adults and, where applicable, parents/guardians or additional teachers) will be sent by email once your registration has been confirmed.
