Primary school workshop
Experience music for the first time with your class at the Kölner Philharmonie!
At the primary school workshop, pupils can look forward to an interactive workshop and a concert. The classes experience ensembles that tell exciting stories with their instruments and reveal one or two secrets about »their« music.
Around the concert, we invite the pupils to become musically active themselves: The whole class can get in the mood for the concert together at school with an interactive musical video impulse. There will then be a hands-on workshop in the hall before the concert and a craft bag for all the children to take home.

The Geysir Quartet is coming to the Cologne Philharmonic Hall and bringing its own music with it. In an interactive concert, the four musicians invite you to listen to lots of music and actively participate. They have composed all the pieces they play themselves. But how do you actually do that? How does a rhythm come about? Where does a melody come from? Can you learn that?
Yes, definitely! The world around us is full of music – we just have to listen carefully. What does the underground sound like? How does a bird sing on the balcony? What does the laughter of your best friend sound like? Together we collect these sounds and ideas – and maybe we'll even create our own piece of music. In this concert, you can try out lots of things, join in and help shape the performance. This makes music an experience for everyone.
To get in the mood for the concert, the school class will be shown a video clip in advance. A workshop will be held in the hall of the Kölner Philharmonie before the concert. After the concert, all classes will receive craft bags at the exit to take home with them.

The world consists of sound, and we are right in the middle of it. Sounds, melodies and rhythms are constantly in the air, just waiting to be put together and sung, played or tapped out. Together with the audience, the Filippa Gojo Quartet makes music audible and visible, inviting everyone to become part of a large, colourful musical flower meadow.
To get in the mood for the concert, there will be a video introduction for school classes beforehand. A workshop will take place in the hall of the Kölner Philharmonie before the concert. After the concert, all classes will receive craft bags at the exit to take home with them.
Registration information
Duration: approx. 75 minutes, starting at 10:00 or 12:00.
Costs: € 5,- per pupil: incl. VRS ticket. For every 10 pupils, 2 accompanying persons receive free admission.
Note: Please note that there are two different starting times for the primary school workshop (10:00 or 12:00). Participation in the event will be raffled among all registrations. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will receive your start time and tickets by post. After attending the event, you will receive an invoice for the participation fees.
