Moving sounds, rich chords and brilliant technique – these are the hallmarks of the Youth Brass Band (YBB) NRW. This select ensemble is led by Martin Schädlich, whose conducting inspires the young talents to achieve musical excellence.
In ‘Destination Moon’ – a composition inspired by the episode of the same name from the ‘Tintin’ comic series – the audience experiences the emotions of a lunar mission, before landing safely back in Cologne with the YBB NRW and 30 brass players from the region, to the tune of ‘Unsere Stammbaum’ by Bläck Fööss. Whether at the Shanghai Tourism Festival, on Bettina Böttinger’s 500th episode of ‘Kölner Treff’, or as winners of the international Dutch Open – the YBB NRW never fails to thrill!
