Wildes Holz

The trio Wildes Holz has made a name for itself by finally playing rock and pop music on »real« instruments. And those are, of course, wooden instruments! In particular, the common recorder, which gives this music a very special touch. But what works with rock classics should certainly be possible with the »real« classics!

Wildes Holz takes on Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms and Telemann – and plays their music as if it were rock classics. In a way, it is. And the treatment with woody humour, virtuosity and a good dose of self-irony does these works a world of good. It's no coincidence that the trio has been playing on small and large stages throughout Germany for 25 years and has thus become a classic in its own right.
