The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

For over four decades now, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has been touring the world with astonishing success: China, the USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and, of course, throughout Europe. Whether at the Queen's private birthday party at Windsor Castle, the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall or the Sydney Opera House.

Since 1985, the Ukes' declared mission has been to counter the seriousness of life with charm, British humour, surprising arrangements, a healthy dose of self-irony and simply the sheer joy of playing and entertaining. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has thus developed into an internationally renowned institution that nevertheless does not shy away from constantly reinventing itself. Celebrate their 40th anniversary with us with a rapid sprint through all musical genres: from ABBA to ZZ Top, from Tschaikowsky to Nirvana, from bluegrass to Lady Gaga and maybe even a spaghetti western thrown in for good measure.
