Sometimes a boisterous party, sometimes the voice of reason – but always a catalyst for emotion: with its powerful sound, the choir plays a special role on stage. Famous examples from the world of opera include Borodin’s »Polovtsian Dances« or the »Anvil Chorus« from »Il Trovatore«. But musicals also have plenty to offer when it comes to rousing choral pieces. The WDR Radio Choir and the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra present the most beautiful choruses from musicals and operas – from »Turandot« to »Carmen«, from »Les Misérables« to »The Phantom of the Opera«.
