Max Bruch: Odysseus

The Kölner Männer-Gesang-Verein (Cologne Men's Choir, KMGV) pays tribute to the most famous story in Greek mythology: Odysseus is driven by the desire to return home to Penelope, for which he overcomes incredible obstacles. The setting of the myth to music marked the international breakthrough for the Cologne composer Max Bruch. Together with fellow choirs from Stuttgart, Leipzig and Bonn and the South Westphalia Philharmonic Orchestra, the KMGV accompanies this cunning superhero on his legendary odyssey. Five choirs with over 250 singers: no choir is too big for this grandiose project!
