KonSequenzen: Mikel Urquiza

Mikel Urquiza will fill the sound space created by flute, cello and accordion. The Spaniard is known for his sublime humour, ironic fragmentations leading to contrasts that are as original as they are obvious. He creates relations within the unmediated and differentiates the coherent, always with a sense of entertainment and conclusive effects. Urquiza has been acclaimed mainly for his vocal compositions so far. Would it therefore be con-sequent to emphasize the songful nuances in the instrumental voices?
