Klangbilder

As part of a project spanning several weeks, students compose contemporary music, which is then performed in a concert of its own. They are guided on their creative and compositional path by the composer Thomas Taxus Beck. The students make reference to Carola Bauckholt’s Die Flunder (The Flounder), Malin Bång’s Bloomers and Eva Reiter’s Lickalike, all of which will be performed as part of the multi-media concert Happiness – Seriousness by Klangforum Wien at Cologne’s Philharmonie on May 6 at 7 pm. Some of the works from the Response Composition Workshop will be performed not only at the Comedia on May 4, but also at the reference concert at the Philharmonie Cologne on May 6.
