Jugend musiziert

More than half a million young people have taken part in the ‘Jugend musiziert’ competition since it was founded in 1964. Many of them are now playing in renowned orchestras or have become famous soloists. 

Some may well remember standing before the jury with their hearts pounding. The concert featuring the winners from North Rhine-Westphalia in the national competition is a special highlight, not least for the young musicians themselves. For now, the task is no longer to impress a jury, but to win over the audience and prove themselves in a large concert hall. Much to the delight of the audience, for here are the stars of tomorrow.
