Your ideas, your sounds, your music!

The Geysir Quartet is coming to the KölnerPhilharmonie and bringing their own music. In an interactive concert, the four musicians invite you to listen to a wealth of music and actively participate. They composed all the pieces they play themselves. But how do you actually do that? How does a rhythm arise? Where does a melody come from? Can you learn it?

Yes, absolutely! The world around us is full of music – we just have to listen carefully. What does the subway sound like? How does a bird sing on the balcony? What does the laughter of your best friend sound like? Together we'll collect these sounds and ideas – and maybe even create our own piece of music.

In this concert, you'll be able to try out lots of things, participate, and help shape things. This makes music an experience for everyone.

To get you in the mood for the concert, there will be a video presentation for the whole family to watch at home. A workshop will be held in the hall of the Kölner Philharmonie before the concert. After the concert, all children will receive a craft bag at the exit to take home.
