Three Wishes for Cinderella

For many, the film »Three Wishes for Cinderella« is as much a part of Christmas as the twinkling candles on the tree, making it an integral part of the Christmas programme. It is the little magical moments that make this enchanting love story so special: the three magic nuts that grant Cinderella's wishes, the snow-covered landscapes, the festive ball – and, of course, the moment when the prince discovers the dainty shoe on the stairs.

Since its cinema premiere in 1973 in what was then Czechoslovakia, »Three Wishes for Cinderella« has been broadcast in over 50 countries around the world and brings a little fairy-tale magic into our living rooms every Christmas.

This winter, the beautiful Cinderella and her prince can once again look forward to a very special stage: the Kölner Philharmonie will be transformed into the setting for this enchanting love story. While the fairy tale film plays on a big screen, the film soundtrack by Czech composer Karel Svoboda will be performed live by a large symphony orchestra.
