Schumann Quartett

They initially studied with the legendary Alban Berg Quartett and are well on their way to one day becoming one of the benchmark string quartets themselves: the Schumann Quartett from Cologne.

"Music was modeled for us": At first, it was purely a family affair, with three brothers and a sister forming the quartet. Today, violist Veit Hertenstein joins the Schumann Trio with Erik, Ken, and Mark. In the past, they listened together to recordings of the great interpreters; today, they are considered part of major ensembles themselves. Time and again, bold programs have shaped their careers. This is now also evident in the Schumann Quartet's return to Cologne.
