“I never know how my interpretations are going to turn out. The journey takes me to a different place every time,” says Isabelle Faust, one of the most versatile of violinists. Perhaps it is this recognition that inspires her to give equal attention in her repertoire to pieces great and small, familiar and unfamiliar, appealing and challenging. This coming season Faust presents the many different facets of her music-making in six concerts, as the focal point in the great violin concertos and as a willing partner in ambitious chamber music evenings.
